Who we are: At Transform Education Kentucky, we believe every child deserves the opportunity and support to reach his or her full potential. We are an independent nonprofit organization, founded in 2013. We are a resource for identifying and sharing innovative ideas; a convener of various stakeholders to develop solutions; a facilitator of collaborative efforts; and a connector to ideas and resources.
Mission: Transform Education Kentucky transforms education by identifying and piloting innovations. We do this by: connecting innovators and capital and evaluating ROI; providing support to scale innovations; and creating opportunities for collaboration and learning among stakeholders.
Vision: Through innovation in education, Kentucky is the most attractive place to live, work, invest and raise a family.
Transform Education Kentucky was established in April 2013 to provide encouragement and support for teachers, school leaders and others as they work toward adopting a culture of continual improvement and innovation. We work closely with a variety of partners to serve as an outside agent of change to recruit resources and expertise to support teachers, schools and districts committed to this necessary transformation. Our partners include the Kentucky Education Association, Hope Street Group, the Center for Teaching Quality, Bluegrass Center for Teacher Quality, the Kentucky Network to Transform Teaching, the Kentucky Department of Education, the Education Professional Standards Board, the Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence and many individual teachers and superintendents to engage Kentucky teachers to design, execute and continuously improve policies, practice and the profession so that students reach their maximum potential.
